We're part of the City of Minneapolis Garden Lease Program — growing a shared space in Victory to build community, learn about gardening, improve the local ecosystem, and harvest real food.

About the garden

The community garden strives to provide space to build community, learn about gardening, improve our local ecosystem, and harvest food. It's located in the northwest corner of the Victory neighborhood, at 47th and Vincent Avenue North — and it's entirely run and powered by volunteers.

Suggested annual donation for a raised bed

Apply for a raised bed to grow food for yourself
18 raised beds available, each about 4' × 16'
Donation offsets water, maintenance, soil, and tools
Priority given to residents without land to grow — apartment residents and renters

Ways to volunteer

1–2 hrs / event

Work day events

Monthly events — a spring planting day, a fall harvest celebration, and work days to prep beds, spread wood chips, and handle small projects.

1–2 hrs / week

Community beds

Several beds grow produce shared among volunteers, neighbors, and a local food bank. Planting, watering, weeding, and harvesting alongside other volunteers.

3–5 hrs / month

Garden committee

A small group that organizes the garden — managing city permits, planning events, sending updates, and coordinating a vision. Bring your ideas, gardening know-how, or grant experience.
