The Livability committee exists to enhance quality of life for every neighborhood stakeholder — homeowners, renters, and businesses alike — by cultivating partnerships, creating connections, and encouraging diverse perspectives through community engagement. We focus on the everyday things that make a block feel safe, welcoming, and connected.

Spotlight: Block Ambassadors
Part of our neighborhood welcome program
Connected blocks create a stronger sense of community — and fewer opportunities for crime. Block Ambassadors volunteer their time to build a social network on their own block, connect neighbors to the wider council, and act as a communication link between residents and SCVC.
